“So, Where is the Joy?” (Hebrews 12:1-3). After recounting a long list of Old Testament saints who lived by faith, the writer of Hebrews challenges us to look not at them but at Jesus who, “for the joy set before him endured the cross.” The question is: How could Jesus have possibly found joy in crucifixion? That’s where we start this Lenten series.
